Bistro Jeanty (French)
Wine Country: Yountville
Philippe Jeanty also owns the newer outpost of Jeanty at Jack’s in San Francisco, but Bistro Jeanty in Napa was his original restaurant. The dining room resembles a French farmhouse. My favorites are the tomato soup with puff pastry shell and the cassoulet.

| Dress: | Chic casual and up. Sevens and Diesels are OK, faded 501s and shorts aren’t. |

| Reservations: | Highly recommended, and book far in advance. |

| Parking: | Street parking is not a problem and there is a nearby free lot. |
