Chaya Brasserie (Happy Hour / Japanese)
San Francisco: Embarcadero

Besides being right on the waterfront, Chaya has a great selection of half-priced appetizers during happy hour, including spicy tuna rolls, fries, California rolls, chicken satay, and other finger foods. Since happy hour lasts until 6:30PM, slip out of work early and have an affordable dinner of appetizers. They sometimes offer the happy hour prices all Sunday night, but call first to check.

Cuisine: Happy Hour / Japanese
Price: Appetizers are $4-8 during happy hour.
Dress: Chic casual and up. Sevens and Diesels are OK, faded 501s and shorts aren’t.
Noise: Since the bar area is pretty small, you will definitely have to raise your voice. It also depends on the other revelers!
Reservations: None taken for happy hour. You might have to stand. (OpenTable)
Payment: Cash and credit cards.
Parking: Street parking along the Embarcadero shouldn’t be a problem at this time, but if it is, there are some paid lots nearby that will eat up your savings from the appetizers.
Date place? Sure, it’s a popular place to meet for drinks after work. If you do decide to eat a full-on dinner here (entrees are $15-25), make sure to get a table with a view of the water.
