The main reason I find myself in Glen Park is Chenery Park. CP serves simple feelgood meals in a neighborhood that's only beginning to offer other dining options. My favorite entrees are the porcini parpardelle and the double thick pork chop. I normally order pork sparingly since chefs tend to overcook it, but not here. Finish your meal off with the bread pudding smothered in bourbon sauce.
Street parking is generally not a problem, but budget an extra 5 minutes to look for it. Otherwise, the restaurant is only a 3-minute walk from the Glen Park BART station.
Date place?
Sure, although there is not much else to do afterwards in this mostly residential neighborhood.
