Fresca (Peruvian)
San Francisco: Pacific Heights

Although everyone likes Limon in the Mission, I prefer Fresca. It’s more down-to-earth and I think the flavors are more interesting. The ceviches are always a good bet and will easily feed two. My favorite entrée is the chicken stew, which sounds simple but is actually very tasty.

Cuisine: Peruvian
Price: Entrees are $15-25.
Dress: Chic casual and up. Sevens and Diesels are OK, faded 501s and shorts aren’t.
Noise: You might have to raise your voice a bit, but it’s not too bad.
Reservations: Recommended. (OpenTable)
Payment: Cash and credit cards.
Parking: Parking is not great in this area but not impossible. For the best results, park a few blocks away from Fillmore or in a paid lot in Japantown and walk. You can also take the cable car or a variety of buses.
Date place? Sure. The location right on Fillmore is a plus.
