This is my favorite place for French small plates and unlike many other small plates restaurants, this one doesn’t try to charge you entrée prices for appetizer portions. I hate lamb but the grilled lamb chops with lavender salt were one of my favorite dishes. I’m also a big fan of the seared foie gras small plate. Isa offers a handful of regular-sized entrees, but most come for the small plates. There is a large outdoor seating area for nice nights.
Parking in the Marina is a nightmare in the evening. Either park in a paid lot on Lombard or be prepared to circle up to 45 minutes for street parking. If you do circle, Lombard has higher turnover.
Date place?
Absolutely. My only hesitation is that it’s more fun to share small plates with a larger group than with only two people.
