This is my favorite place to go for brunch in Berkeley. The food and feel are Provencal. I’m partial to the brioche French toast. On nice days, sit out back on the patio. However, come early or late for brunch. The wait is something you can always count on.
Chic casual and up. Sevens and Diesels are OK, faded 501s and shorts aren’t.
Noise:
Not a problem.
Reservations:
Recommended for dinner. For brunch, none taken.
Payment:
Cash and credit cards.
Parking:
Street parking is challenging in this area but not impossible. If I get frustrated, I cheat and park across the street in the Barnes & Noble parking lot. There are also paid lots a few blocks away but you’re in a college town…no one pays for parking beyond the meters.
Date place?
Definitely. Try to sit at the corner window table.
