New Sun Hong Kong (Chinese / Noodles)
San Francisco: North Beach

This is your typical hole-in-the-wall Chinese place. It’s not the best Chinese food but it’s authentic and the clientele is mostly Chinese. It’s open until all hours of the night, which makes it a good post-clubbing option—nothing like greasy Chinese food to feed that hangover.

Cuisine: Chinese / Noodles
Price: Entrees are $5-10.
Dress: Casual. The faded 501s and shorts are OK.
Noise: Surprisingly, it’s not that noisy and tables are spread out.
Reservations: None taken and none needed.
Payment: Cash and credit cards.
Parking: Parking in Chinatown is only easy late at night and even then, I’m not sure you want to do it if you’re going to be by yourself. Parking in North Beach is horrendous almost any time of the day, but there are lots of paid lots in both neighborhoods.
Date place? Uh, not on it’s own. Like I said, it’s a good post-bar-hopping/clubbing option, but if you want that second date…
