Pakwan (Indian / Vegetarian-Friendly)
San Francisco: Mission
San Francisco: Tenderloin

Both the Mission and Tenderloin locations serve yummy, cheap Indian and Pakistani food. However, the Mission location has a slightly better décor. These are not upscale like Indian Oven. They’re your typical, everyday, dependable curry houses.

Cuisine: Indian / Vegetarian-Friendly
Price: Entrées are $10-15.
Dress: Casual. The faded 501s and shorts are OK.
Noise: Not a problem, even when the restaurants are full.
Reservations: None taken and none needed. If you do have to wait, it will be 10 minutes at the most.
Payment: Cash only.
Parking: Parking in both the Mission and the Tenderloin is challenging, but both benefit from a few nearby paid lots. Both are accessible via mass transit, though you’ll want to be careful if you’re alone at night.
Date place? I wouldn’t but if you must, go to the Mission location.
