Pomelo (American / Noodles)
San Francisco: Noe Valley

When I lived in Noe, this was the place I frequented most often. It wasn’t because it had the best food or service. It was just a consistent, reliable neighborhood place that was reasonable in price. Here, all of the dishes involve carbs. Most are noodle dishes from around the world (e.g., spaghetti with Bolognese sauce, Thai curry noodles, chow mein, etc.). There are also a few rice dishes.

Cuisine: American / Noodles
Price: Entrees are $10-15.
Dress: Casual and up. The faded 501s and shorts are OK.
Noise: Not a problem, though some tables a little close together.
Reservations: Taken, but usually not needed.
Payment: Cash and credit cards.
Parking: Parking in this area of Noe is OK. You should be able to find something within 5-10 minutes. Or just take the J-Church. There is a stop right on the block of the restaurant.
Date place? Maybe I’m just partial because it was my old neighborhood joint, but yes. This location has a farmhouse type of feel to it. It’s a small place and the owners put tea lights at each table.
