PPQ (Vietnamese / Seafood)
San Francisco: Richmond

This is the poor man’s Thanh Long. Although not as good as that of Thanh Long, the crab and garlic noodles here will leave you satisfied. At about half the price and waiting time, I’ll take it.

Cuisine: Vietnamese / Seafood
Price: PPQ offers a ton of set menus and it usually comes out to about $20-25 per person.
Dress: Casual. PPQ will give you a bib and towel wipes. Wear something with short sleeves to make the crab-eating easier.
Noise: Not a problem.
Reservations: Recommended.
Payment: Cash and credit cards.
Parking: Parking in the Richmond is a nightmare unless you get lucky on one of the busier streets like Clement. However, there is a pay lot about half a block from the restaurant.
Date place? Nope, but there’s a back room that is great for large parties.
