I actually don’t think the food here is that great, but I include this place because it has some history. It’s either the oldest restaurant in Chinatown or one of the oldest. Plus, it’s open really late and it’s cheap. You go up these rickety stairs to either the second or third floor to eat. Food is transported using a dumbwaiter and there’s usually lots of yelling amongst the staff.
Not a problem to hear your companions since the tables are so tiny.
Reservations:
None taken and none needed.
Payment:
Cash only.
Parking:
Parking in Chinatown is a nightmare during the day, but there is a paid lot at Jackson Square. Late at night, street parking shouldn’t be a problem but be careful if you’re alone.
