Soizic's obscure location in the warehouse district near Jack London Square keeps it a hidden gem. Don't let the location hinder you. Soizic is one of my favorite restaurants in Oakland, and the food and atmosphere will make you forget that you're even in Oakland. The smoked chicken pasta with sundried tomatoes has been my favorite for years.

Price:	Entrees are $15-25. There is a nightly 5-course prix fixe for $49, but everyone at your table must order it.
Dress:	Chic casual and up. Sevens and Diesels are OK, faded 501s and shorts aren’t.
Noise:	Usually not a problem.

Payment:	Cash and credit cards.
Parking:	Not a problem at dinnertime.
Date place?	Yes, as long as you don't mind the slightly sketchy industrial neighborhood.
