This is one of the most overlooked places in the Mission. The food is good, yet the restaurant is almost always half empty. It offers great value through a 3-course prix fixe involving its noodle options on Sunday through Thursday. My favorite is the duck confit served with egg noodles. I also really like the bass served with plantains, rice, and a light curry sauce.

You won’t need reservations if you go on a weeknight. However, be safe and call ahead for weekends.

Parking:
Parking in the Mission is a nightmare at almost any time of the day. However, there are a few paid lots nearby. Alternatively, take BART or a Mission or Valencia bus.
Date place?
Yes. It’s dimly lit, quiet, and nicely decorated in a colonial Vietnam kind of way. Try to get the single window table to the right of the restaurant as you walk in.
