Terrace at the Ritz-Carlton (American / California Cuisine)
San Francisco: Nob Hill

Come here on warm, sunny days to relax and enjoy outdoor dining, but at a discount from the main restaurant at the Ritz. My recommendation is to play hooky from work for a few hours to have their prix fixe lunch, which is offered Monday through Saturday.

Cuisine: American / California Cuisine
Price: $24.95 for the 3-course prix-fixe lunch is nothing in the terms of Ritz-Carlton prices.
Dress: Chic casual and up. Sevens and Diesels are OK, faded 501s and shorts aren’t.
Noise: You’ll be outdoors in a very open space, so noise is not a problem at all.
Reservations: Recommended, but you don’t need to book far in advance unless you want to come for the weekend brunch. (OpenTable)
Payment: Cash and credit cards.
Parking: Street parking in Nob Hill is impossible. I’m not even going to qualify it with an “almost”. There are several expensive paid lots nearby, but I would take mass transit. Either take the cable car (at $5 one-way, it’s not cheap, but do you really want to pay $30 at a lot?) or the 1 bus.
Date place? Yup.
